hi guys,
update on yella rupp.
decided to remove the back extra pipe nonsense.
will be color matching the existing paint to cover file marks.

discovered that the rupp was either a single or a past owner saw fit to remove/replace the right side motor mount.
for now i'm leaving it alone.

redid the original brakes and reinstalled them.
had a heck of a time since the brake rod was on the bottom hole and the frame pin on the top.
when i figured that out everything fit perfect.
brakes are way better than the toy disk brake previous owner had installed.

this kart was pretty much original so i spent the better part of today drilling all the bolts.
never had to do a whole kart before like that.
what a pain.
anyway with a little luck motor chain and last tire will be back on tomorrow.
a dab of paint and some wax and it'll be ready to rock.

At Avon we will have your dead axle Dart and John's live axle Super K. Two very early, very nice karts to have there. There are going to be quite a few historics including the beautiful PutNick from down south thanks to "Eddie"

What engine are you putting on the Dart, a 10 would be real nice.

for now the mc49c.
it runs and has a working clutch on it.

at tbo i'll have a choice of a mc5 mc6 mc10 clone to run on it.
seems my biggest problem for 2011 is finding dry clutches .
i'll have many engines squared away this year.

But i may just put the original clinton on it .
i have a 1960ish rupp that can have the faster motors.

Hi David, I put a 700 WB on my 58 Caretta, and another Mac-6 on my Cates. Twin 700 on the Caretta would be different.
The problem with the Cates is finding another Hands sprocket hub. Sooner or later they show up.
