Is Burris Hi-Rev Blend suitable for use with methanol?

I have used their Hi-Rev Castor, and it seems fine. In fact, their web site specifically says it can be used with methanol. But their web site makes no comment about using the Blend with methanol.

Find out for yourself. Mix up a quart & store it in a glass jar. if it seperates you know it is no good.

Hey Phil, I don't use the Burris but I remember talking with someone at Delmar that had been blending Hi-Rev and castor in gas with good results but when they switched to alky it turned to cottage cheese. Maybe someone will chime in with better info.
I use the Klotz Super Techniplate (mostly because they support TBO) and like it. It turns the fuel red so I know if I mixed it or not DUH. It has some castor so there is some smoke but not a ton.

Phil,

I have not tried the Blend but I would stick with the castor... there is nothing better as a lubricant for your two stroke motors and the only negative to castor ( dirty, stuck rings etc) is not a factor with methanol.

Thanks for your replies.

I called Burris about this. They said the Blend is not compatible with methanol, which is consistent with the comments above.
