In 1965, Sugar RIver Raceway in Brodhead WI, hosted the 1965 IKF Grand Nationals. Below is a link to several scanned pages I located that show what the facility was like in 1965, including a very nice drawing of the track layout. Notice in the photos how small those trees are that are on the track infield ... they sure aren't small now!
