Rupp 6" Wheels

Post by VirgLove » Thu May 20, 2010 10:26 am

In disassembling my Model J I found three of the wheels have 10-32 hardware. That is, the hubs and rims are drilled 3/16” and the bolts are those 10-32 splinded aluminum deals Rupp used on the original Turbines. Personally, I am reluctant to run them, but I don’t want to destroy the historical value of the components by drilling them out to accept ¼” grade 5 hardware. I would be willing to trade even for ¼” components if any of you want to preserve the original 3/16” configuration for use on your karts.

Virg you could always take out the stock bolts and use #10 grade 8 to replace them.
