Bug Sprint rear axle mounting

I have a 1967 Bug Sprint that I'm in the process of putting back together. I did take pictures beforehand but unfortunately missed a few shots of the rear axle mounting and I want to get it right. I'm having trouble lining up the clutch sprocket with the axle sprocket in its current configuration.

I have a Hegar engine mount bolted to a chrome floating mount. I believe the brake side of the axle is mounted correctly. Moving from the wheel, inboard, that order is: Wheel with key, brake bushing with disc, outside bearing carrier plate, bearing, inside bearing carrier plate, aluminum mount for brake caliper, collar with set screws, frame.

On the drive side of the axle, moving from the wheel inboard, the order is: Wheel with key, outside bearing carrier plate, bearing, inside bearing carrier plate, collar with set screws, engine mount, outside bearing carrier plate, bearing, inside bearing carrier plate, collar with set screws, frame, engine mount, outside bearing carrier plate, bearing, inside bearing carrier plate, collar with set screws.

I realize this is a bit confusing. Ideally, I'd like someone to walk me through it on the phone. Feel free to call me at 602-312-4038. Thanks in advance for the help!

Randy,

You must be using an inboard drive clutch. You need to know that chain alignment on the Bug Sprint is very tricky when trying to use the Hegar dove tail mount on top of the standard Bug swing mount and an inboard drive clutch. Here is a link to a pic of my Sprint so you can see what it looks like.
