I am in the process of restoring an A-Bone. The 4 rod ends that came with the kart say "ALINABAL USA" and it looks like "PF-5". Does anyone know if those were the original rod ends?

Tom, I have two 68 A-bone's and two 67 Chaparral's, all of the steering rod ends are marked PAT D HEIM F56-5C. You may want to check with Tom Smith, he knows the Rupp's better than anyone I know.

Louie,
Thanks, I appreciate the reply! I still can't find any info on the Alinabals

Larry,
Thanks, that's nice of you to help!! I found out last week I can pick up Alinabal's (matching the ones I have) from Motion Industries which is not too far from us.
My question is not in obtaining the Alinabals, but wondering if I am doing the "proper" restoration by using them, over something else, for instance, like Louie has?

Tom, if Dart was anything like most of the rest of the vintage manufacturers, they bought from whoever had the best price at the time. Heim joints of a similar type, I.E.: steel ball/bronze race/ steel housing Etc. are generally made to follow the applicable Military Specification, and will be nearly the same as those following the same Mil-Spec from a different manufacturer. I've seen new karts with rear axle bearings from two different sources. As long as they are of the same type, I wouldn't sweat the source. Good luck. Ted
