Hi Guys,

i know this is a rear site but hopefully someone can help me
two requests:

i find myself in possession of a margay new breed sidewinder without front spindles.
it's a beautiful kart but useless without them.
does anyone have a set for sale or at least decent dimensions , pictures or a print i can use to fabricate a set?
or buy a repop?

i have lots to trade too which would be better as my money is light right now.
i may have one in my box of margay stuff i've bought but having nothing to compare it to i can't tell also it's tweaked .
i can't even tell since i have no good pix.
ideally i'd like to buy or fabricate a set with front brakes so anything like that would be very helpful.

2nd
i've heard that the margay cheetah's were hard to handle and read somewhere that changing the front spindles degree angle
helped alot.
anybody recall what was done and why?

thanx

Try Dan Lotz if you can't come up with any.

I believe Dan is building NB reproductions so as Rob pointed out, you may be able to work out a trade for the spindles....Also, could always convert it to a rear-engine kart as the only difference is the off-set front axle. Mac Daddy Bill Johnson told me he changed the castor from 15 deg to 10 deg with great success. I didn't want to start cutting on my chassis, so I replaced the OEM steering shaft with the Ackerman plate to a center steer set up using a Rupp Chapparal enduro steering shaft. The center steer really helped a lot, so you may want to try it out before taking more drastic measures.
