I am using the 3/8 aluminum bracket made from the engineered drawing in the tech article of this site. Can anyone tell me how to make the caliper "float" in order for the brake to work properly?
Thanks
Steve Bailey

Hi, Steve, The caliper doesn't float on an Airheart brake. The disc is free to move axially on the axle and key, thereby accomodating the single moving piston.. You DO need to retain the square key in the axle with collars or the equivalent. Ted

Steve,

You may have to use shims to get the proper clearance especially if you are using new pads.
