MYSTRY BRAKES ????
HI Everyone. I snagged this KAVALLA off of the KC craigslist Sat. I finally got one with NO BRIGGS to remove!!!! My question is what are the brakes? I cant find a name on either the MC or Callipers. They still had fluid and sorta worked. As always any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Phil.

Hi Phil-
Tom is correct, they are H.H. 400 HYR brakes set up on dual H.H. 750 master cylinders. If you disassemble the anvil side on the finned version, you should see that it is stamped '400'. H.H. was bought out by Kelsey Hayes which is now Hayes Performance. I've been working with their parts manager for the last month to dig out any/all information on these brakes. It took a while, but we discovered that the brake is still in production, and rebuild parts may be available. So far I've been unsuccessful finding the parts, but I do have the modern equivalent IPL and corresponding part numbers. Pretty neat little brake, it is very similar to the Airheart 150, but the mounting pattern is ever so slightly different. I am pretty sure that the Brakeman pucks will work with some massaging, but I haven't gotten to that point yet. Also, the brake was designed for a specific rotor thickness/pad combination so we may have to have shims cut to get the set up to work properly.
The next big hurdle is finding master cylinder rebuild kits... I'll keep working on it, hopefully the prices won't be too crazy. It would be great if the complete brake set ups were cheaper than HA's as it would be another period correct viable alternative to getting taken to the cleaners by Screw-O-Matic.
BTW, I have an NOS match for the rear (un-finned) caliper and I am looking for a match for my finned caliper if you want to do some swapping.

Here is the mechanical drawing for the brake. I've got a call in to GEECO for pricing on the O rings and piston sub assembly.
The new caliper is called the 1-41-1N and the part number for the whole caliper is D00-05877. I am still awaiting a reply on the modern equivalent master cylinder rebuild kit and prices on the parts.
