Barberton karting Vintage Event

Post by Rick Chapman » Mon Aug 10, 2009 8:38 pm

Hi Guys...
It was an honor, and priviledge, to be able to work with the Barberton karting Association, to put on this Event. And knowing that everyone had a good time, makes it all worth while...
I have always believed in returning as much to the participants as possible.
So with everyone taking home the Carlisle t-shirts for entering, the tires, jackerts, polo shirts, etc from the raffel, is how I like to give back to the racers...
A little hint about next year.
I have been in contact with a couple companies to Sponcer the entire Event..
More as it becomes available..
And Herb, I hope you guys didn't have to wait to long for a tow truck..
Again, sorry I had to leave you at the track.. Hope all went well..
See ALL you guys at TBO..
Rick

right next door to you....ohio....barberton is located next to akron..it is an asphalt sat nite stock car track and has been at that location since the 60's, maybe even the 50's..once or twice, rick and i along with my parents attended a race when we about 10yrs old, we would root for any car that had a cartoon character on it...rick was also the person who originally brought go kart racing to the speedway.....the speedway has a web site but if i try to start another tab, with my computer skills.......rick will be at TBO or just email him thru this site...butch

Looking at a number of New ideas for 2010..
Possibly, a 2 day Event, similar to TBO, with a Corporate Sponcer..
We'll have to see.. I Put some feelers out to a few possible sponcers and have gotten a couple interesting replys.
Anyway... I hope to see more of you's next year..
What will the Block Clock look like is 2010????
