Hi,
Just got a '63 GP and am in the process of stripping the ugly spray can job that someone did back in the day. I was surprised to see that the base color under the ugly job is a dark green. I cannot find any blue at all. Did Rupp ever do any green karts from the factory? Special order maybe?
Could be that someone took it down the the metal at one point and repainted it but it seems unlikely on this kart, I don't think it has ever been apart which made dissasembly a real challenge. LOL The paint under the bearing flanges is also green.
Any knowledge on Rupp colors would be appreciated.
