Just curious....how do I change a motor from a clockwise drive to a counter clockwise drive...what parts would I need...is this an easy task ???

Early 580 West Bend I assume. You will need a flywheel and cam for the points.
I have seen some flywheels key'ed for reverse rotation. It's not hard just sit down and think it through.
