hi guys I was wondering why do these wheels have a splinded hub on the back side of them

Kyle, those splines are for front brakes, the rotors have the same spline and the spindles have ears to mount the calipers. terry

... I won't embed the video, since it is a sidewinder kart, but you can go watch this video to get a look at the Margay front brake setup that uses those spline hubs. The Spline hub is a separate part that slides over the wheel hub, and is locked in place with 2 screws.

BTW, Terry Ives runs a set of wheels like that on his blue SAE.

He said he pulled the wheels off his enduro kart, which probably had front brakes.

Terry might be a good resource to ask about the hubs and the brakes.
