TBO Gear Ratios

Post by Scott Kneisel » Thu Jul 16, 2009 12:27 pm

TBO will be my first time at the track in Fremont so I am not sure how to gear my R1 kart. I will be running singles, an Mc20 and an Mc9 (not together). I want to get some time on each engine. The 20 is bone stock and the 9 is somewhat modified. Rev grip clutches on both.

Any recommendations for gearing?
Thanks in advance,
Scott

Depending on YOUR weight I would start at 9/67 + - 2 teeth should be very close.

Thank you Rob,
I will start with 9/67 and bring a couple sprockets to bracket that each way.
