BDC Carby kits manfacture

Post by mcbob » Tue Jul 14, 2009 8:37 pm

Well fellas plans are in motion to try to get a supplier manufacturer out of China who will reproduce carby diaphrams and metering side diaphrams for the range of petrol and alky use in the BDC Carbs ............. i see BDC Carb kits making stupid prices on Ebay so there's a need for a supplier ...... man i'm not gonna pay up to $100-00 bucks US for a single carb kit thats stupity.

I have and now await responces from the land of the great wall.

Wish me luck.
If this sounds a reasonable suggestion or if some-one else is making plans to do the same then please let me know

Mc Bob.

Have you looked at Certified parts corporation under snowmobile carb rebuild kits. Alot of walburo stuff there.

I have found ebay to not be the best place for carb parts?

Sorry if I am wrong being I do not use these carbs but it was just a thought for a place to get some of your gaskets and diaphrams.

Ron

Sources for all your Mac Carb needs:

For small flatback carb diaphrams, and BDC fuel pump diaphrams contact: Perry Blair or Vince Hughes

The BDC double pumper diaphrams/gaskets are still made today for snowmobiles, be careful you only want the WDA-1 walbro replacement parts, these kits have the highest quality and are correct from what I have seen (the full rebuild WDA-1 kit contains some other parts not used in the big Mac carb, toss them). Note that there are 2 Teflon fiber reinforced pumper diaphrams (light colored with the 3 check valve flappers), DO NOT use the kits that have a black material for these diaphrams (the ones I saw at Certified parts are these ones), it is a flimsy material and the check valve flappers get sucked into the carb plate holes >> bad news! These kits are low in price. I use these in all my Mac double pumpers:

Looks as if the 07-410-2 is the one i need as these are double pumper kits and the only bits i use are the main diaphram and the small gasket that goes under the plate in the bottom of the chamber i have quite a few of the flapper gasket or diaphram.

I did a couple of years ago get some double pumper kits off Tired Iron but i only needed the main diaphram and the small gasket.

Anyway i'll chase some up today and get them under way to OZ.

Bob,
I think this is the same main diaphragm that goes in the WDA-1 kit, look closely...

How do these kits compare to the parts/kits that EC Distributing sells?
