Sorry for the cross-posting, but not everyone checks all the sites- But the earth couldn't rotate on it's axis if vintage karts didn't run at Davis at least once this year, so to fill the void of the traditional Spring meet, we're going to have a vintage kart playday at Blue Max in Davis, CA on July 11th! The set up will be the same as it has been in Dixon- $20 a head (unless you happen to be a Blue Max member, in which case it's free) the track is open from 10-6 and we'll be alternating sessions with the modern club, although Blue Max board member and all around nice guy Ron Carello let me know that they will advertise that vintage karts will be there that day and that they are giving us priority, so chances are modern traffic will be light and possibly non-existent by noon.

The only thing to be aware of is that if you are running any thing other than a low compression early kart motor (like a 580 or stock PP AH58) we can't run open exhausts or pipes with stingers. Unfortunately housing and civilization has surrounded the track (which used to be out in the boonies) and they have noise limitations. As you well know, Macs with open megs are LOUD. So drag out your box mufflers or Azusa muffler caps for this one.

Other than that, it's bring your karts out and let's have a ball!

I'm throwin' out the idea of a potluck BBQ, so if you want to come and you're into the idea o the BBQ, just drop a line at voxnut@yahoo.com and if enoguh folks want to potluck, we'll go for it. If not, there is food nearby.

Hope to see you there!
