Terry,
Congratulations and the kart looks nice. It looks like there is some work but appears to be a little work involed. My karting project was a real nightmare. One man's junk is another man treasure. Good luck and many happy hours of karting.

Terry,
AWESOME!!! That really brought a big smile to my face this morning. That is the same model kart that Santa brought me when I was 10 years old. Santa didn't have much money, so he brought me rusty old non-working one, complete with a totally whipped 2 1/2hp Techumseh engine on it. I learned so much, getting that thing to run, and then upgrading the engine several times. Eventually I welded on a right side engine mounting plate and put a MC8 engine on it, the Arco slicks I put on it would grow about 1" in diameter from the heat of the scrub brakes, and the whole kart would shift sideways down the straights due to the one wheel drive! such fun.

it's a really poor image of the brochure page (maybe Dick Teal can offer up a better image).

Terry & Jeff,

I have some high resolution scans of some literature that I can E-Mail you if you're interested. Fox produced this basic fun kart over many years and had different names for it. The most common name is "Fox Special" and then the name was changed to "Go Kart Model 2100" after Fox got the rights to the Go Kart trade mark.

In 1967 model 2102 cost $114 (less engine, upholstery & clutch) and model 2161 cost $169 and it included a 2.5 HP Lauson 4-cycle engine, upholstery and clutch.
