is this a early Blitz or please i.d. my latest kart

HI guys,

just returned from Pa.
below is a few pix of what i think is an early version of a live axle blitz kart.
i think the original steering handle was cut off and the "new" one added to the center metal that remained.
theres a very small bolt holding it onto the shaft..

i don't know what tracks they had for karting back in the day in Pa.but there's alot of stuff still hanging out if you get lucky and find it.
all this stuff came off a former farm that's being made into a new housing development.
this extra stuff was with the kart and engines i bought so i ponied up a few more $ and brought it all back.
Sad to say the fellow at the construction site said a forty yard tank was filled from the garages and house. he said alot of the guys made some good money dumpster diving and scrapping the metal.
the way the remaining parts look there was alot of vintage parts lost.
these parts were noticed by the developers girl friday and put aside.
they offered the kart for sale because she thought they might be worth some coffee money!!!

anyway most of the heads are pinned .
some help here? can they be fill welded and recut and made usable again?
theres at least twenty that have really nice fins and are fine but for the @#$%^ pinning.
also three of the blocks were pinned too.
2nd any ideas why are all these flywheels missing two fins usually the exact same two?
was there some old school reason or maybe the racer just was sloppy and broke them all?
any help on the i.d. or parts will be great.
thanx dave 8-)
