I want to get the Rev-Grip clutches off my two Mc101s. I used Loctite 638 (green) on the taper, and a lot of torque on the nut.
I tried a small 2 arm wheel puller, pulling on the flange of the clutch drum. I pulled as hard as I could without bending the drum, and gave a few firm taps on the puller screw with a small hammer – it did not budge.
There are no tapped holes in the hub for puller screws.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Heat clutch hub with a small torch while trying to use 2 arm puller? Make a notched plate that will let me pull on the whole back face of the clutch drum?
How do I remove Rev-Grip clutches?

Sprocket is inboard.
Re: How do I remove Rev-Grip clutches?
Did YOU put these clutches on? RH or LH threads? Key or no key?
It's not a LH threaded on clutch is it?
I never use locktite on the taper. I always lap my clutches on with lapping compound.
"If" I put anything on a taper I use white chalk.
You can use a 3/4" wrench behind the drum. BE VERY CAREFUL!!!!
Put a OLD nut on the threads and just off the end of the crank so you don't mess up the threads. Usually you can just pry lightly. It concentrates the pressure right around the center sprocket of the hub. Then a light tap should work.
If not go to the puller and use a little heat to soften the locktite.
Remember the KEY'S job is to locate the clutch.
The TAPER's job is to drive the clutch. A good lapped clutch is very dependable.

Re: How do I remove Rev-Grip clutches?
I put the clutches on. Shaft has L.H. threads and no keyway. I lapped the hub onto the shaft before Loctiting and tightening. Clutch hub is not threaded - separate nut is used.
I think I'll try heat and puller together.
Thanks for your help.

I would try both the puller and wrench at the same time along with the heat after I had it under tension. Problem with the puller is pulling on the outside of the drum and your goal is the hub.

I am not 100 percent but I think green loctite is like sleave locker . I used it once on a ballancer that did not fit very tight on a foreign sports car . I wont mention the brand only that most of them are red and come from Italy .
Well I had to pull the ballancer a couple of years latter ,,,, lets just say that I had to destroy it to remove it .
Good luck

Re: How do I remove Rev-Grip clutches?
Heat did the trick. On one clutch, I used a small puller, a small torch, and light prying with a big open end wrench on the sprocket side of the drum. On the other one I didn't even have to pry - the clutch just popped off from the puller tension after I put heat on it for a minute or so.
For what it's worth, I like the green Loctite (no. 638) - seems very secure, but not too much of a fight to disassemble.
