Can anybody identify this kart?

I picked up this kart at Fremont last year and have not been able to determine what it is. From the quality of the welds and the overall level of fabrication I think its highly likely to be factory made, but there are no identifying marks, stampings, etc., anywhere.
I has a number of very unusual features: cast aluminum steering sheel, pedals, and pitman arm, the upholstery is different than anything I've seen, and the rearend/motor-mount configuration is completely unique.
I'd really appreciate any help anyone can give.
