The head gentleman at Vapor Blast Solutions is named Dan Vitaletti. He answered three email questions for me yesterday, and seems a good guy. The process will remove rattle can paint, but not baked-on or powder. Seems the agressiveness is between soda and bead blasting, but without holes getting packed up, and it seems gasket and machined surfaces and bearing pockets will not be harmed in any way. I think I'll send the 610 parts to Pruit next week and let him drop them off. The quote for block, head and crankcase cover was $60 plus shipping. Things should be disassembled. They can even do carbs. The liquid medium is simply water. The water cushions the glass media so that there is no surface profiling like with bead blasting. Bead blasting leaves enough of a roughness that dirt and grease become harder to remove, but supposedly this process does not. They'll WD40 steel liners after blasting so there's no issue with rust in humid environments.
Happy Thanksgiving to all my Vintage friends! See you at TBO. Ted
