Does anyone know what this is? (2 days left on Ebay). It is in my local area and I'm going to look at it if I can get an email reply from seller. It's not often a vintage kart shows up in Memphis. I wish I knew what happened to the one's I had here when I was a teen ager....Ron

Re: HELP - ID Kart
Front axle has no drop, wheels look odd, steering...... might just be a yard kart.

Re: HELP - ID Kart
Hi Rob, that's what i'm thinking too. But I thought I'd see if anyone has any ideas. Someone wrote a comment that it might be a SPEEDWAY SCAMPER. Ever heard of that one? There are also a few new parts on ebay from another seller for a Speedway Scamper and the rear sprocket/brake drum, look like the one on this kart. Probably a yard kart.....Ron

Re: HELP - ID Kart
I do not believe that that is a yard kart. For one, the front wheels are Go Power and they were racing wheels through and through. I kind of supect it may be an Alley Cat, but the seat back looks different to me.

Re: HELP - ID Kart
Looks nothing like an Alley Cat except the seat side rail bend. The wheels aren't Go Powers, despite the holes. They look like steel wheels. Looks like a yard kart-save your money.

Re: HELP - ID Kart
ID Solved: I talked to Bill Kraft, editor of SpeedwayMinibikes.com and his website has pictures of the Speedway Scamper. He also has some Scamper parts on ebay right now.
That is what this kart is on ebay (a Speedway Scamper Fun Kart)
I had to "deep dive" in Google to find this one. Speedway was a spin-off of Rupp. It was also located in Canton Ohio and built mini-bikes and snow-mobiles between about 1972 and 1974. It also offered two fun-karts. The Scamper S-300 model with 3 hp and the S-400 with 4 hp. (same kart different engines), and the S-420 "Scamper 2" which was a 2 seater with 4 hp.
Those are not Go Power wheels, though they might look like in the ebay pics, you can see the difference if you look at the ebay post for Speedway Scamper/Dart Parts. They are steel ( or cast) discs with 6 holes with an outside ring bolted to them.
Thanks for the help guys....I learn something every day.
