Is that a Clinton E65?? My first real kart engine in about '64, wish I could find a left and a right now!

Terry's karts were beautiful! They were having a ball. Surely brought back memories of my Pop's '60 Wasp/Mc10. TJ

Don - That is an E65 replica that I made from a Clinton D35 chainsaw. Only a few parts needed to be changed. Here is a picture of a matched set of E65's I had on display.

Ted,

Thanks for the complement!
I Don't remember if I told you - the Wasp with the MC-10 was my Dad's. It has been in the family since 1959.
It has been raced in the US and Europe, won a Dutch Grand Prix and spent time as a yard kart.
My Dad passed away last December, so I finally got to work and restored it. I wish he could have been there to drive it one more time.

Terry, the compliment's well deserved. The '60 Wasp I'm restoring is in memory of my Pop's. When he first got it from Tom Pierson, it had an Mc5 on it, so that's the way we're building it, though I will have to put the wrong brake on it. The orange Scorpion Charlie had at TBO was my Pop's also. He deserves the tribute! TJ
