Yeah, $450.00 is a bit steep for a fuel tank, (K&P on VKA site) but these pie-in-the-sky prices are what we see every day on Ebay. I think the new, and possibly all time winner, may be the $33,333.33 colection of Mac parts currently on Ebay. He shows in the breakdown that there are about a zillion parts. If #8 lock washers are worth $1.05 each, it's a hell of a deal. Perhaps I'll dig into the retirement fund, and become the king of old Mac pcs. Then everyone will have to come crawling to me for ignition cam felt.
All kidding aside, I hope this guy gets a fair price for his collection. This is still the U S of A, (last time I looked) and we still have a right to make as much money as we can. It does make me chuckle though.

Re: Expensive Stuff
mike, your right, it is the good old usa but.....got out of racing 1989 and moved to fla and didn't even ride a concession kart till 2009 and with ricks help, attended b-ville march. started looking and was amazed at pricing. if it's ebay, i'll put in on watch for the final price. my income is very different down here... which is my choice... as i await my 1st soc sec check. and at times the prices 'sorta' bums me out and i back off, close the garage door for another day although my biggest problem down here is senior citizens happy hour 3-5 at the tiki bars. now i remember why i enjoyed the twin engine class so much
