Mario worked at Retter Line inc. building Rettermobile Racemasters Karts in Easton PA part time circa 59, 60. They produced karts for awhile and then switched to golf karts. One can imagine he may have driven one just for hoots. Mario told me Michael and Jeff's first karts were given to them by Mickey Rupp.

Definitely a cool thread, thanks for everyone's input. It goes to show what an important role karting has played over the last 50 years and why it is so very important to preserve and promote the history of karting to a broader audience...Maybe one day we can go to Goodwood or Monterrey :D <If you're going to dream, dream big>

I believe Jeff Gordon was a factory Emmick driver for 3-4 years back in the day.
