Tom, I have confirmed that the engine has been stroked. Operationally speaking, do stroked mc-10's require any special treatment as compared to the stock version. I was able to run the engine last week and wow....good things, small packages. Tore it down and prepped it for paint over the weekend. Looks like we are going to take a day trip to Bakersfield this weekend to see what we're getting into.

Hi, Don. Tom is spot-on (as he usually is). The kart is a '59 or '60 Bug dead axle. The live axle is a conversion. The seat sissy pads look a lot like the Reed Engineering aftermarket pads that we put on two of our '59 Bugs. The Palmini brake was added, as probably were the Hands wheels (certainly the rears!). The late '59 and '60 dead axle Bugs WERE available with Hands wheels as an option. We sold quite a few of these karts, and I had both a single engine as well as a dual engine version, and my Pop had a dual with A-400's. Don't try to bring it back to original, as it'd be too big a project. Clean it up, paint it and re-install the stroked Mac 10! Bring it to Fremont and ride! Ted
