I just spoke with Ed Sahagian the organizer for the event at Roebling Road in Savannah, Georgia. Ed is trying to maximize track time and has rented the track for the two days prior to the Big Southern Kart Classic (September 19 & 20th).
Here is what Ed envisions for September 17th & 18th:
The price will be $120 for 8-hours or $75 for 4-hours. If you have a modern kart and plan to attend, the price will be $150/$90
There will be four time slots both days
8am-10am
10am-12pm
1pm-3pm
3pm-5pm
Drivers will have the option to split the 8-hours over the course of the two days in the time slots of their choosing. Space is available on a first come, first serve basis and the deadline for sign up is August 15th.
Ideally, we would like to see 15+ entries to help offset the cost of track rental. This is THE BEST DEAL you will find for getting a ton of quality time on a full-size road course. Please plan to attend, we would like to make this a yearly event. Ed is also planning to have a limited number of karts available for those that want to arrive & drive, but live too far to attend. There will be a swap meet both days so bring all of your old enduro and sprint parts.
Details for the September 19th & 20th portion of the event held in conjunction with the Southern Kart Club will be finalized towards the end of June and further information will be posted then.
