Free McCulloch decals at sign up

Post by Robbin Loois » Thu Apr 16, 2009 3:38 pm

Dear Vintage Kart enthusiast,

As maybe noticed, the website http://www.vintagekartauction.com is offline for some time now.
This happened due technical problems which could not be solved unless the website was to be rebuild.

Instead of rebuilding the website, which was sometimes unclear, we chose to make another website (http://www.vintagekartshop.com) which hopefully will leave little doubt about its intentions.
Although it will take some time to develop the website and re-insert all advertisements, we would like to give you a chance to sign up.

To compensate the effort of signing up we will give a free decal at choice to every 30th. person that signs up.
Previously we had over 600 contacts in our database that means we are about to give approximately 20+ decals away.

P.s. from now on you can reach me on robbin@vintagekartshop.com

Thanks for reading and we are hoping that you are going to enjoy our new website eventually.

Best regards,

Robbin Loois

Rob,
Please give this one person a little lee way on the name requirement.
no disrespect intended i'm just trying to help.

the person signing up as "Robbin" is Robbin Loois.
so he is using his real name just not all of it in his member name.
he does put his full name at the end of the letter.
he's from the Netherlands and his English is not always perfect.
plus as i've been busy he might have already fixed the problem.

He is THE representative for the Vintage Kart Auction.
as such he's in charge of selling 50+ vintage Karts and hundreds if not thousands of parts.

After a bad start they are trying once again to get these parts to American collectors.
they are having some trouble as the tediously gathered paper work and identification has been messed up by the former web host.
there will be some mis-starts but anyone who wants some amazing parts should take the effort to see what they have.
if they mis i.d. something let them know so they can fix it.

i will also say that their shipping is fixed.
while it may seem unreasonable it's the arrangement they've made .
so if you don't like the $15 per part shipping/handling fee please just pass on the parts.
for me the fair pricing and excellent parts more than made up for the excess on shipping.

i'll get in touch with him and explain what he needs to do to get his full name squared away if he doesn't fix it in the next day or two.
thanx Dave
btw i have nothing to do with these parts.
i've bought quite a few and i've seen the Karts.
In the interest in promoting our hobby i'm trying to smooth the way for these parts to reach us.
thanx D 8-)

I looked at the sign up page.... why the request for personal information? The program looks suspicious to me.

I can assure you it is safe.

If you have any doubt, please ask around, I believe there were many parts sold to members of this forum.

Phone number and birth of date are not necessary, you can enter a zero value (000-000-000) if you like.
The address is of most importance since the website will be linked to paypal, and will sent an automatized invoice, if you ordered a part.

Already 51 people had signed up yesterday, 9 more are needed for the next free decal.

Best regards,
Robbin

"Thanks, but no thanks. I have a file cab. Drawer full of all kinds of decals now. Just give it to someone in need.
robert."

In that case who needs a decal. First one to post his address and decal of choice gets it.

Regards,

Robbin

Steve,
i've dealt with Robbin for almost a year now.
i bought a gokart 800 a gilson excalibur and a bug lightning from him.
those karts i took a side trip on my way home to get.
there were a ton of great karts in the location that are still available.
i've bought endless bits too .
totaling at least several hundred dollars ;) (the boss may read this)
anyway my point is they are a real outfit with a ton of parts.
his ebay address is "robbinloois"
i've done enough business with them where several times the ebay stuff has arrived before i've had a chance to pay.
but i agree don't sign up or buy their parts as i need lots of stuff and hate to compete with my wallet. :D

Thanks for all the nice comments, I appreciate it!

I only got McM decals, if people got decals and want them to be remade you can PM me.
We will share the cost of digitalizing (which cost the most).
I have got some experienced with remaking the decals, people who received a decal from me, will probably confirm that I am VERY VERY careful with the decals!

Robbin, I am receiving mail in my "spam" folder from your website. Interesting it says my name/addy was provided by..someone? I did sign up as a member, no announcement of my winning a sticker so must not have been the 50/100/150th etc. When will there be availble a list of items currently for sale? Tom L

Strange about the contact info, but I would not worry too much.
Worse case scenario what could happen, would be that you will receive an items you did not pay for, which actually would not be that bad I guess.

There currently is no list of what we got, we have always worked with itemnumbers.
I could make one but I rather focus on getting the site online asap, which represents the list it self including pictures.

p.s. I will only contact persons who have won a decal, (30/60/90... etc.)

Best regards,

Robbin
