Can anyone tell me what the ignition timing should be for a WB580?
I would appreciate any info,

Re: West Bend 580 Timing
Scott,
The standard factory setting is 35 BTDC for tight or low speed courses. The timing can be advanced to its full limit of the slots up to 39 degrees for faster courses. By elongating the hold down screw slots on the plate 45 degrees is available. Alky and nitro engines should be advanced 5 degrees more then gas engines. This info comes straight from a old Go-Power Publication 'How to hop up your West Bend' by Williams and Fisher.

Geeze... and thought you just set the point gap at 0.020... No wonder I was never fast...

Virg, you've always been fast just not in a hurry.
