Ive been running oil for weed eaters--Promix,echo ,ect, at 50 to 1ratio in my mc 101 and mc49, so far no troubles. Ive been reading how some people run only caster or other mixes and now Im getting worried running this cheap stuff. These Karts are used only 2 0r 3 times a year as parking lot racers (no vintage racing where I am). Im hopeing running 50 to 1 will keep the engines well lubed. Is my thinking totaly screwed or on the right track? Thanks.

Richard,
Me thinks your thoughts on the ratio is twisted. 50 to 1 is less oil. 50 parts gas to 1 part oil.Not enough lubrication .

Thanks guys, getting old sucks sometimes. I thought I was over lubing it. Im suprised I havent stuck them yet. Ive had the mc49 since the 80's and got the 101 about 4 years ago. If I go to 16 to 1 can I still use the new (cheap)oil Ive been using .They havent stuck yet, maybe Im lucky after all.

Hi Richard, where are you located. I have a Panther X with a 101 also. I was raised parking lot racing. I'm in Memphis TN and can find little vintage activity around here.

Ron ,Im in Carrollton Tx. When we moved here from Arlington Tx. the abandoned whizzer kart track was about 10 minutes away from us. we used to run there all the time ( even raced there in the 80's when it was open). Now it's another shopping center, no trace a track was ever there. Its hard to find a lot that they dont kick you off of now. Richard.
