Assuming I can post the picture showing the issue, I would like some advise on the best way to repair the damage. Well, it did post. The kart frame is a 1961 Mantis that I am restoring for my kids. Should I remove the old backing and replace it completely?

Re: SEAT REPAIR ADVISE
sterling .. floor pan dont look bad ....i say timewise it will take you as long or longer to try patch it than it would take to replace .. cut right in the upper center of the break ..then when you mark out your tin for your new seat back make it 3/8th inch longer and break it 30 degreess or so and adjust till it matches floor pan tuck it under floor pan and it very hard to notice .. its only a suggestion .. and its the way i do it ..
