Re: Mc5/Mc49 crank
I heard a rumour that the 49 class would allow 5.3 Cubic inch displacement in the future.
That would kinda put the kabosh on a MC5/6 class??

Re: Mc5/Mc49 crank
Steve,
This year at Avon there is gonna be an Mc49 race feature on Saturday. The flier is on this site, VKA site and GVKC site so check it out. If you page down to pages 3 and 4 of the flier, the whole event is laid out.
We are hoping for a real nice turn out. Last weekend in July, same as last year.
Yippeeeee

Re: Mc5/Mc49 crank
he he he
i am so there for a mc49 feature .
only this year i'll be bringing a little live axle something to run with my mc49.
might even leave my little dead axle rupp home as the runners are piling up finally at my shop.
and it might be a hot mc49 as i am in the over 200# area as a driver.
i think if my buddy steve is running we'll need a boat anchor or two to even things up on his side otherwise!!

Re: Mc5/Mc49 crank
Hey guys,
The Land of Lincoln Event in Spfd,IL flyer says Mac 49er class-senior drivers, McCulloch 49 engines only.
The 5.3 chain saw engines are not eligible, they will be moved up to an appropiate class.
This year there is no spec on fuel, may run gas or alky in the 49 er class. I have let the class police themselves. If I hear rumbling or growling then some regulations will be forth coming. My aim is for everybody to run together and have fun and be friends.
Paul

Re: Mc5/Mc49 crank
lesee,
if you figure a 1 second advantage per 10# then stevo has a 6 second avantage on me.
defintitely bringing my boat anchor to avon.
maybe some alky too!!
won't be able to make spfld il. as money is tight.
anyway if my new job comes thru i may have to be working on the road all race season!!!!
while that'll be a low it will help with the bills i guess.

Rob & Dave,
That's the case unless you're retired. Unfortunately you're getting old then.

Re: Mc5/Mc49 crank
Anyone stroking the Mac 49 using a 91style crank and boring into the head area for piston clearance?
