P.S., Ted, I don't know much about Darts/Lancers, Etc, being a Bug/Go Kart guy, but I imagine the swing mount for Dart will fit the Lancer, since both are Rupp. Chuck Giacobbe AKA Strokerace on eBay, has a new Robron swing mount on right now. The eBay item No.: 264503004915
I imagine one of the vintage Rupp guys can tell you if the axle centerline to mount tab hole distance is the same.
Nice chrome piece. Ted

Thank you Ted. I really appreciate your help. Looks like a nice piece! I've already contacted the eBay seller.

Looking for some guidance from Rupp experts. Will the above referenced engine mount for a Rupp Dart fit a Rupp Lancer GT? Also, is there anything special about the bearings that would go with that mount?

Thanks for any advice and information. Ted

After over 5 years of chasing parts and lots of hours of restoration effort the Lancer finally made it back to the track after 50 years. The engine came as a box of parts. I ended up doing a lot of research and had several conversations with the prior owner to garner more of the history of the kart. The kart was retired and sat in an attic since 1974 until he bought it. He was attempting to restore it as a yard kart. I’m glad that I was able to save it! I had a blast with the kart when it had its maiden run back on the track! My wife put together a restoration video of the process including the first track day. The video may be a little long but my wife injects some fun and it shows what was done. Here are before and after pics and a link to the video. I also want to remember Teddy Johnson, posthumous. He was a great help and good friend. I ran a couple laps for him.

Great job! Nice video showing the time and effort it takes to restore an old kart back to like new / better than new condition.
Can't help it but I laughed when you quit polishing the back end and painted it! Been there, done that. Bet laid plans and all.
