Condolences to the Adkins Family
Got word this morning on the passing of Kyle Adkins and I would like to pass on my deepest condolences to the Adkins family. Kyle was regarded as one of the top drivers and engine builders in American karting and he will be deeply missed by many. Was fortunate to know Kyle, his father Bill, and moth...

Re: early Bug Wasp seat tank
Frank, Not 100% positive but it appears that the Chilton seat back tanks came out around 1963. Keep in mind also that 5/8" steering shafts became the norm in 63 so these incidentals maybe of help with your kart I.D. Its really interesting to note all of the different styles, shapes, and locations th...

Re: Just Kart Stuff
Jeff, Asking a karter for a gas-oil mix preference is like asking a little kid what his favorite flavor of ice cream is. What I'm trying to say is that fuel mixes are a personal thing and everybody has there own ideas as to what is best. Have had very good luck with Klotz KL 100 super techniplate mi...

A karters best friend
Every karter at one time or another has put a 'Cable Tie' on their kart in one place or another but have you ever wondered where they originated ? Below is a little history lesson. Really surprised that cable ties came out as early as they did.. Here's the scoop thanks to the infinite knowledge of s...

Re: Mcr-45d
Pahl, Not sure what a MCR-45d engine is exactly without viewing it, not familiar with those i.d. numbers. Can you post a picture of your kart or can you send us a private email thru this site with your personal email so you can send us a picture off site for some further identification of the engine...

Re: Mc10 Challenge at TBO
Frank, Please bring your Duke Fox, we have no problem with you running it on original tires and were sure everyone will enjoy seeing this unique piece of America's karting past. It seems that aside from the Mc-10 Challenge the Clinton boys will not be outdone and they will be out in full force again...

Re: D-44/55 Mac saws
Terry, Here are kart piston bore sizes. Don't know how much overbore you can go. Perhaps Bob Corwell will chime in with a piston source, he's a saw guy. Model - Bore Stroke Displacement MC2 - 2.165 x 1.635 = 6.05 MC5 - 2.125 x 1.375 = 4.9 MC6 - 2.125 x 1.500 = 5.3 MC7 - 2.165 x 1.635 = 6.05 MC8 & 9 ...

Posting Photos
It seems that posting photo images has become a problem of late for some reason. To post images you need to use a hosting site for you photos such as Photobucket . We have been using a site called postimage at postimage.org and have been having good results. Please do not try to post images straight...
