Re: WTB Mac oversize pistons

Dean-

I'll let you know this weekend when I go home- i'm on the road for work right now. I'm pretty sure I remember some .020' over slugs in that box.

Re: WTB Mac oversize pistons

Dean- I might have these. I bought a whole box of stuff from Larry last year and there were around 17 Mc75/100 pistons in there.

Re: Carb/parts cleaner

An ultrasonic cleaner works wonders with old carbs that have corrosion in the fine passageways, especially those that have been used with methanol. I clean my carbs in my ultrasonic cleaner using 10-minute cycles. I fill the cleaner tank about halfway with 50% distilled water/Purple Power and then p...

Re: Another McCulloch Odity

I don't know how many molds they had but Bob Nicholson told me that he had to rent 5 of the largest U-Haul trucks to move just the tooling he bought from Los Angeles to Prescott when they were closing things down in the early/mid 80's. He said what he bought was just a tiny fraction of what was avai...

Re: You Have To See This!

I ran into Theo years and years ago when he was selling some other kart related stuff at greatly inflated prices. I have to say, he's an entertaining gent to talk with and has a very vivid imagination and I quite enjoyed chatting him up. He did try to sell me some vintage Captain America comic books...

.030" over slug for Mac 101 - 1/2" or 9/16"

Hey guys- I'm looking for a .030" over slug for McCulloch 101. I got a Mc101 block that was previously bored .030" over in a box of parts. It looks like it was run for a time and put away. I have cash or tons and tons of stuff to trade including many NOS pistons for Mac and West Bend. 1/2" or 9/16" ...

Re: Need Mc 6 piston

Like Ted said, get rid of the 6 rod and thrust washers. All of the original 5&6 pistons used the thrust washers and a 91 rod is much better, which should work fine with your 49 piston.

The original 6 piston I believe is a thin-ring piston, #48844.

Steve-

Are there any other Mac pistons that cross over? I know you like original stuff.

1/2" wrist pin Mac rods - 101

Hey guys-

I find myself in need of two 1/2" wrist pin Mac connecting rods for 101 if anyone is willing to sell some or can point me in the right direction. I can reciprocate with tons of other Mac or related parts. Thanks!

Re: Mac Pistons/parts for sale or trade

Hey Brad-

This was a long time ago when I posted this and a lot of my parts are long gone. I'm sure someone here can help you though. You need the V-4 style manifold though if you're planning on running the BDC carb.
