mac's and loose bearing side plates

back in the day, our engines were ikf-wka legal, but some of our practice engines were ??? question, on 100cc mac, when the crank moves side to side, . my mag plate is used but no cracks, crank is good..a new bearing 'almost' slides in the mag plate...who has the idea out there to stabize the side m...

wasn't ormel duke going to write a book or something ? seems that was mentioned in some of the old karting worlds. i've searched in the past and agn this am and nothing for any articles.

go to macbobaust.com/engines (thanks mcbob) or search mcculloch motors. fortunely we had saved all our early kart magazines and competed during that era but we never heard of any mc45d

nelson ledges, later known as steel cities raceway, east of akron ohio---in the mid 60's had a series of sprint-enduro races. was a 1.1 mile road course late 2.2. they ran a series of 3heats, motorcross scoring, 6 or 8 laps. weight adjustments for the 'new' laydown karts. i remember the date so well...

paul, we had a dyna drive gearbox on a dart grand prix 1965. i actually was able to finish some races. we ran a mac, direct drive. robb is very correct, the 4 mac 'side bolt pattern' lines up perfect. an idea only, my dad measured the length of the bolt to get as much thread as possible, then he dri...
