Dominic, You need to contact the track where you hope to run your kart and ask for their specific rules regarding equipment specifications. Your kart may be perfectly legal to run with your local organization. Word of caution from a guy who has run enduro karts and been on track with the plastic bod...

So the consensus is that these are retouched photos ? The Grand Prix wheel was based off of Pontiacs Gran Prix wheels which also debuted for their 62 model year so that might explain why they were not available early in the model year. Heard the 'J' model line of karts was also named after a Pontiac...

You're killing me, a engineer kinda guy who manufactured a kart with more adjustments then a Formula One car and your looking for a easy way.

Tom, The February 1964 Karting World magazine has a Neal test on whats called a Torsion Flex Kart. The seat looks almost exactly like a Dart A-Bone seat, smooth material and flat side cushions. Kart also appears to have a narrow steering hoop and the 'sack' pad follows the lines of the steering hoop...
