Re: Tillotson HL304WXG Carb Problems
Interesting that nobody here mentioned lowering the pop-off setting. I resorted to lowering the pop-off pressure on my son's US820/dual HL's (on gas), and now the carbs are able to flow enough fuel to reach 4-stroking. I don't recall the HL numbers (274? 278?), but they're old. I bought the spring a...

Missed you this year, buddy. Sorry Rolf, you're obviously suffering from "TBO Envy." The cure takes exactly 1 year.

Re: *** MOTEL EMERGENCY NOTICE ***
OK, I switched sides: I cancelled my Red Roof reservation so that I can be amongst the "IN" crowd at the Comfort Inn (419-355-9300). My hat is off to Dave for getting that reduced rate! Dave, can you use some more of that charm to convince the Comfort Inn to let us have the Saturday night dinner the...

Re: TBO Event
I want to thank Bob and Ron, and all of the folks who pitch in and make this event so much fun. Your generosity in both time and material is MUCH appreciated. Definitely the highlight of the summer for both my son Alex and me. Amazingly, the weather held out both days! Now, we gotta start getting so...

Re: Full Circle Crank for a WB820; Worthwhile?
Jeff,
Thank you for your detailed response. I would not have guessed that the type of exhaust would've been a factor, but once I read your response, it all makes sense. I knew at least one of the "gray beards" would step forward!
Thanks again,
Doug.

Re: Looking for information on Go Kart
Chuck, I'm cheating by looking in the The Complete Book of Karting by Dick Day. I say that it's a Capital Kart from Racine, WI. While it doesn't look exactly like the mug shot photo in the book, the caption in the book says that it has "rack and pinion steering." Is that what yours has? As far as re...

Full Circle Crank for a WB820; Worthwhile?
Looking for an opinion from "gray beards!" Recently, my son and I picked up another US820, to have as a spare. We weren't desperate, but the price was right, and it's basically brand new. Anyway, it is a reverse-rotation engine (CCW at the PTO), with a 3/4" diameter non-stepped PTO shaft. Our "main"...

Alex and I had a blast again this year. Such good people. Hard to wipe the smile off my face, and it comes right back when I look at Jeff's photos and videos!

Re: 2010 Vintage Karting Event At Batavia NY
My son and I will be there, barring any unforseen catastrophe. Almost 6 hrs from Valley Forge PA. The track layout looks really cool! Man, just thinking about it...waxin' down my surfboard, can't wait for June... you know what I mean!
