Re: free roller bearings

Holy frijoles, Dean! did you see the price on Amazon. They say Qty. 1, but they must mean 10. Anyhow, there is nothing special about the Sealmaster, they still have the friction causing seals. I was hoping for the bearings that have the lube hole so that you can add castor or regular oil instead of ...

Re: free roller bearings

Heck, guys, we probably won't even build the Brise kart. These are just "prelims". Thanks. Ted

Re: free roller bearings

Rob, I can't wade thru the Bearing Dist. catalog. I will call them. Bobby, I don't see any 1" free rollers in the Azusa catalog, only 1-1/4" bearings. Coyote doesn't have 1" free rollers, either. It may be that VXB has the U-lube-them axle bearings. I will call them. I have a bunch of standard stiff...

Does anyone know who still makes 1" free roller axle set screw bearings" I see plenty of 1-1/4" ones but those are useless for our purpose. Thanks, Ted

Re: West Bend 820 for CCW rotation

Jacob, he's not always easy to get on phone, but there's not a better guy. When I called, he was heading to the airport to get his wife, but he called back a few hours later. Leave a message. Ted

Re: West Bend 820 for CCW rotation

Jay, remember, if you run a PVL or other electronic ignition, the coil may well have to correspond to the rotation of the flywheel. Also, remember, some guys are gouging folks on West Bend flywheel prices. I saw one go on eBay for over $300.00! Ridiculous! Be careful from whom you buy. Ted

Re: West Bend 820 for CCW rotation

Jacob, if you are running the standard point/condenser ignition, the flywheel rotation does not matter. It only becomes an issue with electronic ignition. In the early days, West Bend did not make a left side flywheel. The crankshafts and the point actuating cam ARE different. Ted

Re: need help on sprocket

Bob is right. Smaller rear tires is like adding teeth to the bottom gear. Back in "the day", I typically ran 4" Go Power magnesium rear wheels with the smallest diameter 10" tires I could find. This was with a modified, high revving stroked Mc10 on alky. The combo worked very well. Even my Pop, who ...

Re: need help on sprocket

Bob, his non-boost ported Mc7 will develop 2-3 horses less than a '91, and less bottom end with the small carb. It may need 2 or 3 more teeth on the bottom gear than a '91. The '7 needs to wind up. Ted
