Dean, did they make a Grand Prix and Grand A in '63? I can only find info on these for January of '64. Tom, I have two 68 A-bone's and two 67 Chaparral's, all of the steering rod ends are marked PAT D HEIM F56-5C. You may want to check with Tom Smith, he knows the Rupp's better than anyone I know.

Dan, Steve's recomendations are right on, we run 91 octane pump gas with 6 oz Burris castor in our Mac 91 and Alky with 6 oz Burris castor in the West Bends and also my Super 58. You don't need more octane than the engine can use, only reason to go to a race gas is for a consistent fuel as pump gas ...

Early West Bends (510,580,700 etc) are cross scavenged, 610/820 are loop scavenged. Put a can muffler (gem,palimi,reed etc) on it and have fun and it will be period correct.

Dean, send your cases to Dave Bonbright, he machined mine to accept std style seals that are available from any bearing shop. If you don't want to do that, I have a set of NOS crankshaft seals.
