Virg,
I think Bill will find the "B" pipe he prefers if he is patient. They turn up occasionally on ebay or the vintage boards.
If not, he can get one of these "can" type to use until the B turns up.
I only have one Monza B and it's on my Stinger/K88.... courtesy if Dan Ericson.

Re: WANTED: Monza "B" pipe or Monza can
I have a couple of the Monza can mufflers as shown in the photo of the kart.
One is perfect, the other has a couple dents that can be fixed with a little effort.
Anyone interested in them?

Re: Tillotson HL application list
Bill, If you are looking at the older carbs from the 60s and 70s the HL 227 was very popular... I used them on my Komets for the stock appearing class. If you are buying a new carb I recommend the HL 334A or A/B as commonly used on the Leopard TAG motors.... the best carb I have ever run on a kart m...

Re: mc 45 pto seal
Bill, The very old correct seals that I have for the 20,30,40,45 etc have the following numbers on them... C-USI-078-137-8 Pretty close to the number you have so it would seem that yours are the right part. That being said, I don't know what the number sequences mean so it may be that the CB on your...

rev grip drums for gearbox
Guys, I have come into a whole pile of NOS Rev Grip drum blanks without sprockets. Two different size holes in the center. The large hole version is for weld on chain drive sprockets that have a bearing that fits over straight shaft cranks, the smaller hole version looks like the type used with Dyna...

Re: Help with ID'ing Kart
Tom, Off to the races, no.... off to the hospital, pretty good chance! Pay attention to the advice offered here... we know of what we speak. Your kart is made to run on rock hard skinny little tires pumped up to 25 psi to keep the bead set on the rim. With those tires a wheels if you get your kart g...

Re: mc 49
Depends on which model 49 you are going to use. The original 49 was very low hp due to fewer ports cut in compared with the later versions 49C and 49E. The C and R motors had 50% more port area on both intake and exhaust than the original 49. There are small differences in the output between the C a...

Re: Bug sprint
Rob, The pipe we ran was a D-H Torque Pipe built by Doug Henline out of Meyer's Speed Shop. It was a long skinny pipe that had good bottom end and mid range but would not rev high. Allowed us to run a tall gear and 100% methanol through the stock carb without reaching the rpm where the fuel pump cou...

Re: Bug sprint
Dominic, I love your enthusiasm and I doubt you would have many competitors to beat out with $10K for the first Caretta. That being said, the first Caretta is the karting equivilent of the Loch Ness Monster and a Bug Sprint is the karting equivilent of the Cotton Tail Bunnies in my back yard.... cut...

Re: Bug sprint
Dominic, Used Bug Sprint chassis are pretty common around here in So Cal and we see them sell for $300 to $600 all the time with either Go Power or Nylites, Chilton tank, Hegar dovetail mounts, number panel and H/A brakes. My original question was not a wise crack... based on actual recent sales it ...
