McBob.....better start studying port timing and the time value of ports. :!: The crank works off a centerline and will move the piston up and down farther but it’s so much more than that. .010 shim stock about 3/8" wide and 6" long with one end curled in about 1/8" and 1" from the end. Pull drawer 1/2 way out and slip shim in each side. Drawer will slide right out. Just did it the other day.

I don't think gear drive will work with this manifold. Get ahold of some old mags and I'm sure you can find a picture. Lots of times they pulled one carb with a short rod (coat hanger / welding rod) to pull the second carb.

Hi & Welcome. A briggs is 5 HP and a 100 CC Mac is about 11hp & a 101 is about 14hp.

Bore size is bore size. You should be able to find a bike ring that will work. I have not set up a Mac with a L ring but on foreign engines we used the ring for controlling the ports.
