If you want to run a HL series (smaller, maybe for a youngster or very early kart) carb on the engine you can get a different manifold & reed cage and use that also. Over the years there is a variety of sizes available that should suit your needs. The HR series works great. Lots of HR181 & HR191 car...

Re: mystery kart w/mc6
I would guess it is a home built or modified quarter midget. Front axle looks 1/4 midget. Narrow front looks quarter midget. Back end looks modified from the floating back end that quarter midget's used to use.

I'm sure Jeff Troy or someone will post a picture. I sold him a Go Kart 800 frame with a sissor brake on the left rear motor mount but I forget how it was attached.

Re: "dressing" welds on a 1961 Bug.....
Don't use powder coat. A frame that has a reputation to crack making future repair difficult.
I don't care for the look of ground down welds. It's hard to get into a lot of spots and do a good job. Also it will decrease the resale value.

Re: Dear R E A R
The Copper Head engine is not a reproduction of any 60’s era engine, it is a modern design engine all to itself, period. Note: casting, manifold, head, reed cage, etc…. Any part or kart must be an accurate reproduction that replicates original OEM castings or original manufactured parts. Remember th...

Re: REAR position on powder coat.
Don't care either way. Your WAYYYYYYYYYY overboard here and getting false info. I paint my frame because if it cracks I can weld it without the hassle of stripping off ALL the powdercoat.
