Re: kart storage

Wow, Ain't Russ a peach - always thinking of ways to help the other fellow! ;) Dan has the solution: get rid of everything that doesn't have the word "kart" in it, and concentrate on the important things in life! In my young days in Florida, we knew a guy who hung them from the ceiling, but in runni...

Re: The Big THANKS....

I have to add my heartfelt thanks to those of Jeff Troy for one of the best times I've had in years. For my pal Charlie and I, we had a BALL! I met a lot of new faces, and refreshed some of my favorite acquaintances. I proved to myself that I can still build a good kart, and that I need a smaller tu...

Re: Fuel Recommendations

Good morning. I second the Flandoman's polite request! I would be happy to be able to purchase some castor at the track. I couldn't find any here. I will be pulling out in a couple of hours - see all of you soon! Thanks a lot! Ted Johnson

Re: Fuel Recommendations

Hi, Gang. it's been years since I mixed Alky/Castor myself for an open fan-cooled engine. I always used Chuck West's or Klotz premix. Alky/Castor ratio recommendations for newly-rebuilt and for broken-in engines? Thanks, and see you all in Fremont! Ted Johnson

Re: Swap Meet at THE BIG ONE !

Rob/Bob, please help. I completely understand the REAR guidelines as regards participating karts/engines/accessories, but I'm in the dark as to what can be sold/traded at the swap meet. I've a couple old LMR's and such. Am I allowed to try to sell these, or are the guidelines for the swap meet the s...

Re: Looking for Mike G.

Dean, we are taking pics of every step. We have all the sheet/plate pieces water-jet cut and edge sanded, and the spindles, steering shafts and swing mounts are at the machine shop/welder. My buddy, Charlie, in Wisconsin will handle the tube bending and notching, and will build the weld jig. Ron Cub...

Re: Looking for Mike G.

Thanks to Larry and Dean for the good advice. I called Greg on the number that Larry gave, and had a very pleasant experience talking with him. He is going to build us (2) of the taller floor tanks for our Bandits. Once again the REAR gang comes through! Ted

Re: Looking for Mike G.

Thanks, Dean. I'm very happy with everything Bubba has made for me -I just thought maybe I could find a bit bigger floor tank than the small hemisphere I got from him. We shall see! Ted

Re: Looking for Mike G.

Thanks, Larry and Dean. I will give him a holler tomorrow. I have (2) of Bubba's tanks, and they're beautiful, but I want a bit larger floor tank for the repro Swoopster Bandits we're fabricating, and thought maybe Mr. Gouveia might make one. Thanks once more! Ted J.
