Re: Kart ID

The rear axle is out of a different model Simplex with side mounts. Yours appears to be a dual frame with a dual side mount rear axle.. I didn't even know they fit. Looks to have an aluminum bolt in floor pan not the steel welded in floor pan. It also has the heavy steel petals. Is the steering whee...

Re: Kart ID

Saw this before possibly here. Looks like a child's toy. Hard wheels & steering wheel that is out of proportion.
I don't remember anything else about it other than it is cool!

Re: Identification of kart

Adam, Whatever it started life out as it was not a Dart. Look at Clark 440 fun kart or something like that. Heavly modified & has a very small look to it. Front spindle hangers are wrong along with the rear axle bearing carriers. The whole seat back loop thing is wrong also to be a Dart.

Re: Margay Wheels

Man that was a lot of work but great results! Yes the 1/2" wide inner rims are very hard to find.

So at $1 an hour these are about $50 + material? :o

Re: Help I’d my dads old kart

LMC Swoopster Bandit. About 1961. Brake master cylinder mount was added.
Check to see if he still has the fuel tank. Are there holes in the floorpan? Tank was under steerign shaft.

Nice barn find!

That will be easy to find. There are a couple of diameters so know what you need.
