Re: Rupp kart differences in 1963/64?
Probably a good bet that if you have a 5/8's steering shaft its 63 and older as that became a tech item. Louie, Do you have factory litature or are you using magazines for dating, I was able to use factory released material for dating? Just curious. Didn't the 'unimount' karts have the different tab...

Re: Rupp kart differences in 1963/64?
Reviewing Tom's list for 66. It does not list the Grand A so it must be safe to say it is a "one year" model only [65] and it was a little stretched by the marketing people. Great handling kart by the way, a personal favorite.
Anybody know what the 'tag' numbers mean ?

Re: Rupp kart differences in 1963/64?
The Rupp 1965 factory brochure states that the Grand A is "a proven performer for years" The question now is how many years ? Wasn't it a one model year kart ? 1965 only.
All of the karts in the brochure are red in color also.

Re: Frame Annealing
It is very doubtful the time and effort was spent to anneal at frame at the O.E.M. and they seemed to have held together quite nice regardless. You can also find a reputable [SEMA approved] chassis shop in your area and ask them what they think. Always keep in mind that because of its thickness and ...

We can not help but to again, THANK all of the participants from the donators to the drivers, photographers, track workers, spectators and everyone else we may have missed for making THE BIG ONE the huge success that it is. Heres to running them the way they used to run them next year at THE BIG ONE...

Re: 40 years from now on REAR
Robert, your 'facts' have no influence on the Guidelines considerations becasue the Guidelines are based on O.E.M. product designs not repops. We allow your repops because they duplicate the originals fairly close and for no other reason. Steve, good point about a 'fixed' bolt on wheel on a stepped ...

Re: 40 years from now on REAR
Steve, Robron, S.A.E. and Blackhawk were a few that come to mind that were still produced in the 70's. We have to agree with your assessment of what honestly is of historical value. It seems the cookie cutter designs that came out the 70's, 80's, 90's, are just that, same old same old. Upon furter d...
