A lot of the buyers who have bought karts on Bring a Trailer are not close to being experts and count on the commenters to help them sort out the details.

Capt. Jack is in the Tampa area. I talked to him several years ago. Looks like a basic 1959-1960 design , maybe a home built , Azusa accessories , a mount on the right side for a Mac of some kind.

Ted, A Mc 91 series engine would be in the ball park performance wise with the 4 stroke clone that is on there now. The frame engine mount that is on there is probably home built for that 4 stroke engine. The correct frame mount is called a "Uni Mount" made by Rupp and it attaches to the tab on the ...

Rupp took over the Lancer brand for a year or 2 . I believe this is a 65 but not sure. Yes, most rear engine karts set up as a single have the engine on the right side. It is a Lancer GT , has differant wheels , needs a 2 stroke engine of some kind. Good luck.

Rob, You can ride it next year , plus it will be on a frame that fits USins betta . The Lancer was a little tight for us modern fellas,ha ha ha . :oops:
