Re: Gear drive starter motor
Ted, The Nippondenso starters are the best, smallest most power for the dollar. All jap cars and most american with jap parts use them these days. I made one for use at TBO. I cannot say about cw/ccw but the unit I found at an auto salvage yard turned proper for starting off the flywheel pully side ...

Re: Salt Flats or Bust
Jeff, you can try BNI/SCTA.Org but if the record is not real current more than likely it won't be listed. The other way to get info is to purchase a Rule Book, but of the 8-9 years of them I have I do not recall any records listed or classes for that matter for kart/mini bikes you are asking about. ...

Re: Salt Flats or Bust
Bill, I think I was in error on the shut down miles on the long course  beleive it to actually be 4 miles not 2! I ran a special construction framed Harley Evo Big Twin in the 1650cc AP/G class. I managed to get my Class D License before having to stop going for economical reasons! BTW "D" mea...

Re: Salt Flats or Bust
Bill, First off I think you misunderstood what the USFRA Rep was saying and it's quite possible that person gave mis information, unless things have changed since 2004. I ran there for 8 years, seen many oddities take to the course, a 50cc motorbike was the smallest powered that I remember so I am s...

Re: Nut start Macs?
Ted, I tried it a few years ago with the old M-T dry clutches and the new Rev Grips, the nuts are very similar. I wrecked 2 so I quit trying and re vamped my starter for the belt pulleys on the flywheel side. The nut, if you look real close is very thin between the bushing outside and the thread ins...

Re: Mikuni carb re-build
The discs you are talking about came from under the fulcrum arm spring...its an E.C. Birt/Carbs/Dist set up. I would call E.C. Dist for the particulars. They did an Alky convertion for me on a 34 Mik and I found the same discs so I called and asked. Tom

Re: Gas carb for Mc101
Philrock, I've had good service out of the Mikuni 34 mm and its and easy swap, very little mods involved and I beleive they are easier to come by than the HR 181's. Tom

Hello, I am looking to purchase a brand new 91 series Rod. Anyone have one they'd part company with? I have cash or Mac parts for trading. Let me know what you are looking for. Thanks Tom.
