Re: Re-assembly Issue

Thank you both for the good advice. I'm a relatively new comer here and appreciate all the responses I've received. I rescued my kart from a storage locker and am 99% done with the restoration. Had a Rupp Dart Kart as a kid, but that's been eons ago. Here's a couple of before and after photos showin...

Re: Airheart Brake Bleeding

Thanks guys, will give that a shot. I was trying to bleed them using both bleed screws, in no particular order, and I didn't bleed the master first. Appreciate the safety tip on securing the roll pin.

Airheart Brake Bleeding

Wondering if there is a particular sequence to bleeding my brakes, top or bottom bleeder first? I had a hard pedal before emptying the system but can't seem to get one now. Am I missing something else. I seem to be getting all the bubbles out of the system, but still no pedal, and no leaks.

Re: Re-assembly Issue

UPDATE- Turns out the axle was in the kart correctly after all. The issue was the mount needing to be modified to support the inboard clutch. All is good now. I do have a follow-up question related to wet clutches, as I'm unfamiliar with them. I know they're oiled through one of the two Allen plug h...

Re: Re-assembly Issue

Thanks guys, was hoping against hope not to have to pull the axle out again, but if that's what it takes, so be it.

Re: Re-assembly Issue

The inboard wet clutch was on the kart when I purchased it, pre-restoration. I'll take a look at the possibility of moving the bearings to the other side of the mount flanges and report back.

Re: Re-assembly Issue

I'm posting pictures of both sides of the rear of my kart, showing how the axle is mounted, brake and engine side. You can see on the engine side that the sprockets on the engine and the axle are out of alignment by at least an inch, and maybe more. I'm sure this is probably a re-assembly error on m...

Re-assembly Issue

Looking for a fellow Bug Sprint kart owner (mine's a 1967) to correspond with, or better yet talk to, about a re-assembly issue I'm having related to the alignment of the axle and clutch sprockets. I'm on the home stretch of my restoration. Thanks!

Re: McCulloch Yellow

Thank you to all for your excellent suggestions. I ended up having my local auto paint supply store mix me up the color and put it in a couple of rattle cans. Next up is the obtaining the correct sticker and figuring out its placement on a MC-91C motor. Anyone running this motor with the original/co...
