Hi Steve-
It's run by Vince Hughes...100% legit. Vince's wife is very sick, so please be mindful of that. He'll get back to you at some point, but be patient.

Re: Rust Pitting
I know you said paint and not powder coating, but may want to consider Metal to Metal or Lab Metal which gives you the option of having the frame powder coated at a later date.

Re: NEED HELP IDENTIFYING THIS KART FOR CHARITY
Hey Glen-
Never heard anything more about the kart. Did it end up being auctioned off? Any follow up information would be great.

Re: plastic front end bushings
Hi John- Dean Seavers posted this little gem a while back regarding the McCulloch R-1: ------------------------------------ Hey gang- For the handful of us that have a slight obsession with these ill-handling turkeys, I've located a source for the split flanged bushings that are in the pedals, the s...

Re: Bug
It is definitely a '63 Bug Wasp, it is the first year with that seat shape. Also, it appears that the seat is steel and welded to the frame which is correct for the '63 vs aluminum and riveted as seen in the later Bug Sprints. Another tell-tale sign is the lip at the front of the seat pan. Bug was e...

Re: Caretta ID?
Hi Lawrence- It is definitely remnants of the brake system not an off switch. Take a look at the attached picture and you'll see the pivots they used to route the brake linkage across the chassis to the off side. I played around with the pivots when I was there, but couldn't visualize how the hell t...

Re: Firing up NOS vintage engines.
Hey Russ- It depends....How do feel about standing in your front yard lighting $100 bills on fire? Chalk me up in the insane column. For me personally, the perceived price premium associated with NOS stuff is because it is NOS. Here in is the dilemma, do fire them up and run them which will effectiv...

Rupp Enduro Gas Caps
Looking for a couple of used gas caps that fit the Chapparal enduro tanks. Ideally they would be used, with some nice patina but in good condition as they are going on an unrestored original FKE kart.
Let me know what you've got.

Re: Colverator O ring
Thanks for the replies everyone. Jeff May is going to call Mike and see if he can't source the O rings as he is looking too and I don't want to inundate Mike with a million phone calls about a 30 year old carb. Hopefully, its an off the shelf solution the key being which shelf. @Nils Can't help you ...

Re: Zip Karts
Hey Doug- In your quest for super karts, keep your eyes peeled for an early(ier) Euro chassis and parts. Always on the look out for Tecno's (Kaimano and Piuma) as well as early Zip (Californian) and Birel's. Especially looking for any/all cast aluminum parts for the Tecno (pedals, motor mount, rims,...
